It was an 89-mile drive from Bitsy’s and scenic most of the way. After we got set up we went for a walk in the campground and sat in Adirondack chairs to look out at Porpoise Point, a scenic waterfront viewing area of the Penobscot Bay coast. We arrived at Bangor Maine on 10 August 2026. We had an appointment scheduled with a mobile Repair guy to fix our leveling system on Tuesday morning. He ended up changing our right front jack stand and that fixed the problem. Over the next couple of days, we got other maintenance things done like haircuts and grocery shopping in Bangor. On Monday 3 August 2026 we drove from Gaspe Quebec to Campbellton New Brunswick. It started raining about a third of the way into our trip. We were happy to finally arrive even though we had to set up in light rain. It was just good to be there. On Monday 27 July 2026 we drove from Les Mechins Quebec to Gaspe Quebec. We stopped to see two lighthouses on the way. The first lighthouse we stopped to see was the one in La Martre and the second one was in Madeleine Centre. The one in La Martre looked freshly painted but we just took a few pictures and kept driving. We drove to Les Mechins Quebec on Monday 20 July 2026. We stopped in Rimouski Quebec for our 11am appointment at Caravane Rimouski. Patrick was our technician and he determined right away that at least one of our 4 fuses for the 4 stabilizer jacks was loose. He made sure they were all in all the way and then he reset the leveling system. Auto Level worked when Patrick tested it, so we felt like the problem was fixed. We drove to Kamouraska Quebec on 13 July 2026. We stayed at Camping Le Rayon De Soleil (Camping in the Sun's Ray) for one week and Kamouraska was our base as we toured the area. The beginning of our week there started out with a few inconveniences. A “Perform Service” light came on in the truck on our way to Quebec, so we needed to get that diagnosed. Thankfully the truck issue ended up being a fuse that had gone bad on the suspension system, so it was replaced and the service engine light went off. We gave it the college try to get a campsite inside Acadia National Park at Schoodic Woods Campground, but it was not meant to be this year. We arrived in Fryeburg Maine on 12 June 2026 to attend the 2026 Escapade 14-19 June. It was 90 degrees with high humidity, very unlike what we know of Maine. We left Watkins Glen New York on 10 June 2026 and drove to North Hudson New York for two nights, leaving us one day to site see. We decided to drive to the Ausable Chasm, Lake Placid, and Tupper Lake then head back to North Hudson. With other stops we made along the way like at the Adirondack Interpretive Center in Newcomb and an old lodge in Upper Works New York, where Teddy Roosevelt was when he got the call about President McKinley being near death, our one day was full.

We drove to Watkins Glen NY on 7 June 2026. We stayed at Watkins Glen State Park, and it was a little scary getting to the campground with having to drive through downtown in lots of traffic. We finally made it and then had to wiggle our camper into our campsite. I say “wiggle”, because there was no room to maneuver with a narrow street and trees to avoid. We arrived at East Harbor State Park on Lake Erie Marblehead Peninsula Ohio on Sunday 31 May 2026 to stay for five nights. We wanted to go out on Lake Erie for walleye fishing one day and we had made a reservation for Wednesday the 3rd of June. East Harbor State Park is a beautiful place with lots of walking and hiking paths, birding, bicycling and boat launches. Our time here has flown by! On Monday 1 June, we drove into Port Clinton to see the charter boats coming in.

We started out in Coldwater Mississippi and within 40 minutes we had traveled in three states with reaching Tennessee and Arkansas within less than 50 miles. We arrived at Memphis South Campground in Coldwater Mississippi on 21 May 2026. We were booked for three nights here and we wanted to see Memphis Tennessee one day while we were here.
