We arrived in Portsmouth RI later in the day on 29 October for two nights. The weather was cold, wet and dank for most of the time we were there. We still went out to see the area and Steve even walked down 40 steps to the "Cliff Walk" which afforded a view of the ocean and Narragansett and Eastern Bay on one side and beautiful mansions on the other. Unfortunately, with the weather being so overcast and us having so little time there, the Cliff Walk with a drive around the area was the highlight of our stay.

We didn't see much in the way of leaf colors in Rhode Island. We weren't there long enough for the weather to improve, so that didn't help our cause. Oh well, we can't win them all. Next we're off to Salisbury Massachusetts to check out that area's leaf colors.
