We arrived at The Preserve RV Resort in Onalaska TX (just outside of Livingston) on 22 March 2025 to see doctors for annual wellness check-ups. We saw our GP, dentist, dermatologist, eye doctor and Anita saw the VA doctor, and got a mammogram. It started to feel like we were working again with having to be a certain places at certain times!

We had never seen a crucifix like this...
After a couple of weeks of appointments and some not so pleasant (mammograms are painful), we were both ready to move on! We drove 140 miles to San Miguel State Park in Zwolle Louisiana on Saturday 5 April 2025. We got set up and about an hour after we were settled, it started raining for the rest of the day into the next day. It had actually been raining when we were setting up to leave Onalaska and for much of the drive to Zwolle. We had a couple more days of clouds in Zwolle, but then sunny days for the rest of our stay. It was very pleasant with temps in the mid 70’s during the day and down in the 50’s at night.
Steve enjoyed catching lots of Crappies while we were here. He fished down at the docks near our campsite and he went out with a guide at 10pm one night and got home around 2am. They caught 25 crappies that night alone. Steve caught nine at the docks. We had eaten at Knights of Columbus fish fries for Fridays in lent so far, but now we have lots of fish to cook.

Steve had washed our camper and truck in Onalaska, but the camper needed it again after driving in rain most of the way to Zwolle. He washed the camper again while we were in Zwolle. We felt like we had taken care of maintenance of our home and health by the time we left Onalaska and Zwolle.
John, Kassie and Jackson met us in Alexandria for lunch on Thursday 10 April 2025. It was good seeing them. They’re excited about their trip to Medjugorje and Rome beginning 12 May 2025.
